The Golden Triangle Quilt Guild is rolling out "Sewing Peace with Quilts" this week at the Beaumont Civic Center, and if you think quilting is just your grandmother's hobby, you're about to be corrected.
This Weekend:
Founded in 1983, this guild has been stitching together the fabric of our community for over four decades. This year's show features member quilts alongside a marketplace where you can snag handmade treasures.
Why go? Because these aren't just quilts—they're Southeast Texas stories sewn in thread. You'll see patriotic tributes, family heirlooms in-the-making, and art pieces that took hundreds of hours to complete.
Real talk: Even if you can't thread a needle to save your life, watching these artists work is worth the ten bucks. Plus, the vendor market means you can support local crafters without having to make anything yourself.
Your turn: Ever tried quilting? Reply and tell us—or better yet, show up this weekend and see what you've been missing. |
