Beaumont Police Department is offering free self-defense classes for women, taught by female BPD officers.

Sessions are designed to teach basic self-defense and situational awareness and run for about three hours, typically evenings from 6 to 9 p.m., covering both classroom instruction and hands-on practice. No experience needed.

Limited Spots are Available - signup to get added to the list for future class dates by emailing Officer Haley Morrow at Haley.Morrow@BeaumontTexas.gov.

This is the kind of resource that deserves more attention than it gets. If you know a woman who would benefit, pass this along. Word of mouth is how the right people find the right rooms.
