Your Weekend Lineup:

Something for Every Taste

Whether you're into classic cinema, live comedy, or high culture, this weekend has you covered.

Friday Night (March 13): The Jefferson Theatre is screening Hello, Dolly! as part of their classic film series. Barbra Streisand. A full orchestra. Elaborate costumes. If you've never seen it on a big screen, this is your chance. 7:00 PM. Tickets at the door.

Saturday Night (March 14): Whose Live Anyway? brings improv comedy to the Julie Rogers Theatre. If you loved Whose Line Is It Anyway? on TV, this is the live touring version—fast, funny, and completely unscripted. 7:30 PM. Tickets still available.

Sunday Night (March 15): For something more refined, the Julie Rogers is also hosting a performance of Swan Lake by a touring ballet company. Full orchestra, classic choreography, the works. Showtime is 6:00PM (doors at 5:00 PM.)

Also Happening This Weekend:

• Lamar baseball takes on their conference rival Saturday at 2:00 PM. Cheap tickets, good energy, and you'll actually be able to see the game (unlike trying to watch your kid's Little League from the third-base bleachers).

• Saturday morning yoga at the Art Museum of Southeast Texas. 9:00 AM. Free with museum admission.

• Saturday Strings at the library—a casual jam session for string instrument players of all levels. Bring your violin, guitar, or ukulele. 2:00 PM.

Something for the movie lover, the comedy fan, the culture seeker, the sports enthusiast, and the person who just wants to stretch in a room full of art. Pick your lane.

What's Coming Up

Don't sleep on the rest of March. Here's what's on the calendar:

March 21-22: Beaumont Mural Fest returns for another year of live art, music, and street energy. Local and regional muralists will transform walls around downtown. If you missed it last year, don't make that mistake again. Free to attend. Check social media for the full schedule.

March 18: Lamar's Spring Concert featuring the Cardinal Singers and Symphonic Band. 7:30 PM at the University Theatre. Always solid, always free.

March 25: Beaumont Farmers Market kicks off its spring season at Tyrrell Park. Fresh produce, local honey, handmade goods, and the kind of tomatoes that actually taste like something. Saturdays through May.

Ongoing: First Thursday Art Walk continues downtown. Galleries, studios, and pop-up exhibits. Free. 6:00-9:00 PM.
