Valentine's Day falls on Saturday. Mardi Gras takes over Ford Park for three days. The weather's perfect. And if you're planning to Netflix your way through this, we need to talk.

Let's be real: When was the last time you caught beads at a parade? When did your kids last see a fire eater? Have you EVER watched wiener dog races?

This weekend:

• 9 parades (free to watch from the parking lot!)
• Live music on multiple stages
• Kidzland with giant inflatables (Saturday & Sunday, free for kids under 12)
• Petting zoo, magic shows, fire eaters
• Food vendors (king cakes, gumbo, funnel cakes)
• Character brunch Sunday

The deal:

• Friday: $15 (5pm-midnight)
• Saturday: $10 early bird (noon-4pm), $20 after 4pm
• Sunday: $15 (noon-10pm)
• Skip Ticketmaster fees - buy at Ford Park box office for just $3 facility fee instead

Pro tip: Park free, watch parades free from the lot. Only need tickets if you want inside the gated "Party on the Plaza" area for concerts and vendors.
