The Origin Story
In 1997, Katharine Carmichael saw a gap: People wanted gourmet food without the time commitment or the cooking hassle. So she started a tiny take-out and catering operation. Simple concept. Ridiculously good execution.
By 2004, customers were basically begging her to open a sit-down restaurant. So she moved into the stunning historic Mildred Building on Calder and MLK—and the rest is Beaumont history.
