Beaumont City Council this week approved a new food truck park on Concord Road, rezoning three acres for the project.

Food truck parks do something traditional restaurants often cannot. They lower the barrier for local entrepreneurs to get into the food business, bring variety to commercial corridors that need new energy, and create gathering spaces that neighborhoods actually use. Concord has been an underused stretch with real potential. This is exactly the kind of investment that signals a corridor is worth paying attention to.
