Beaumont Celebrates 250 Years of Freedom This Friday |
|
This Friday the City of Beaumont hosts its Annual Fourth of July Celebration at the Lake at the Downtown Event Centre, 700 Crockett Street. Gates open at 5 p.m. The evening features live entertainment headlined by LA ROXX, with StrongestManAlive, Flava Band, and DJ Best Wave keeping the energy going all night. Face painting, character appearances, food trucks, and family activities fill the grounds.
At 9 p.m., the largest fireworks display in Southeast Texas lights up the sky over the Neches River, choreographed to celebrate America's 250th birthday. The whole thing is free.
While that is happening outdoors, the Symphony of Southeast Texas performs a special patriotic concert at the Julie Rogers Theatre at 8 p.m., free and open to the public. Finish the symphony and walk outside just in time for the fireworks. That is a Friday night worth having. |
