Sophie Gravel, just fifteen, has become a beacon of discipline and determination in Beaumont.
After training at Golden Triangle Premier Gymnastics, Sophie dominated the regional championships in Kansas, posting an impressive 9.80 on the balance beam.
That victory secured her a coveted spot at the USA Gymnastics National Championships in Oklahoma City.
Against fierce competition, Sophie claimed the national title on the balance beam, making her an inspiration for young athletes across our city.
The journey to such precision demands thousands of hours, unwavering support from her coaches and family, and a community that believes in nurturing potential.
Sophie’s triumph proves that Beaumont continues to shape young people whose hard work shines on the national stage.

Set along two migratory flyways, the marsh draws over 250 bird species, including pelicans, roseate spoonbills, egrets, ibis, and ducks.
Birdwatchers from across the country flock here each May, but locals have easy access—just ten minutes from downtown, with daily hours from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The preserve features a scenic boardwalk and viewing platform, making close-up sightings unforgettable.
Beaumont’s unique geography places it near 28 Coastal Birding Trail stops, solidifying its status as a sanctuary for both residents and migratory wildlife.
