Fossil Fest Kicks Off Summer Reading at Elmo Willard Library |
Dinosaurs, fossils, and hands-on discovery launch the summer program |
The Elmo Willard Library is launching its summer reading program with Fossil Fest, a kickoff party that brings dinosaurs, fossils, and hands-on discovery to Beaumont.
The party happens this week at the Elmo Willard Library. The summer reading theme this year focuses on dinosaurs, archaeology, and paleontology, giving kids and families a chance to dig into learning all summer long.
Summer reading programs are one of the best tools we have to keep kids engaged with books while school is out. The Beaumont Public Library System runs programs across all four municipal branches, and the Elmo Willard location is pulling out the stops with Fossil Fest to get families excited from day one.
What else is happening at the library this week:
The Texas State Library's all-ages summer reading program returns June 15. Beaumont's libraries are getting a head start with Fossil Fest this week.
